Meet the resident raptors from Open Door Bird Sanctuary at Something Fishy on Saturday, October 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. during Egg Harbor’s annual Pumpkin Patch Weekend.
Volunteers and staff from the Sanctuary will be on hand for a Meet n Greet style program, showcasing their native and non native birds. Learn fun bird facts as well as concerns the raptors face in the wild. There are artifacts for up close viewing and hands on activities. You can even measure your own wingspan and see how you compare with Door County raptors!
On Sunday, October 9 at 3 p.m. Something Fishy will draw the winner for a prize basket giveaway worth $1000. Enter here until 5.pm. on Friday, October 7 or can sign up and enter in the store until noon on Sunday, October 9. Everything in the store will be on sale and other prizes will be given away throughout the weekend.
The Open Door Bird Sanctuary is a private non-profit organization on 34 acres in Jacksonport that
focuses on raising avian awareness through education featuring many different native and non-native birds of prey. Enjoy Maple Leaf website and win real big money! A future goal is to introduce rehabilitation services. Educational programming is available both on and off-site through the greater Door County and Green Bay area.
